Access control and time and attendance systems

VANGARD GROUP installs access control and time and attendance systems—with cards, biometric readers and centralised management of access permissions—in line with the site's design requirements.

Access control determines who can enter, where and when. In an office, this may mean a few card-controlled doors; at an industrial site, turnstiles, barriers and zones with different access levels; at an institution, integration with video surveillance and visitor registration.

The system can also track time and attendance using the same readers and credentials. This allows attendance data to be collected automatically, without separate equipment.

We also account for fire safety during planning: doors on escape routes must unlock upon a signal from the fire detection and alarm system where required by the design.

FAQ

Questions and answers

Can the same system also track working hours?
Yes. The same readers and credentials can also be used for attendance tracking.
What types of credentials do you use?
Cards, key fobs, PIN codes, biometric readers or facial recognition — depending on the required security level and user convenience.
What happens to the doors in the event of a fire?
Where required by the design, the system is connected to the fire alarm system so that emergency exit doors are released.
Can access be managed across multiple sites?
With a suitable network and software, access rights can be managed centrally across multiple locations.
